Hi,
I've created a variant BOM for material T-F. The variants are T-FX, T-FZ, etc. Now I need to create routings for the variant BOM. Could u guide me how to create routings for these variants, Whether I've to create individual routings for all these variants, or a single routing is enough?
awaiting for ur replies.
Thanks and Regards,
R.Jeyaraman
Hi,
For your scenario, you have to define Super BOM (contains all components of T-Fx and FT-Fz) and super routing (contains all operations of all variants) for T-F.
And then use object dependencies for auto selection of appropriate bom and routing for T-Fx, T-Fz during transactions.

Ashok

Hi,
For variant configuration, you create routing in the normal procedure. But assign the object dependencies(Selection conditions) in the operation, operation sequences wherever it is needed to select a particular variant.
You can also refer for more details:

Hi,
There is no special procedure to create Super BOM.
Just follow the normal process. the difference is only that it will contain all operations reqd for manufacturing T-Fx and T-Fz.
then you have to assign object depencies to the routing for selection of right operations for the variants.

Ashok
