Dear Friends,
If I assign the same position to a group of employees whose description of work falls in the same category, will it create any problems, further.
Any type of consequences..
Thanks in Advance,
Regards,
Satya.
Hi Satya,
By best practices, you should not assign more than one position ("S" objects) to one employee. For groups of employee who have similar roles, there are the "Function" objetcs ("C" objetcs), this objects can group positions. Example: your company have 3 secretaries in the same departament, each one need to be assigned to one individual position named, we say, "Human Resource Secretary". Each position can be linked to the function "Secretary", this function can be linked in time to cualifications, tasks, etc.
I hope this can help you.

Hi,
C is a Job.
When you create positions of same category or the same job.
Now when you assign a position to the employee job is also assigned.
You can also have a job directly assigned to an employee and different employees can also have the same job.
But as you have mentioned best practise says that one employee per position and vice versa is indeed correct. But the same is not true for job.

Hi Sataya,
we can not say directly where the problem can occur by assigning same position to multiple person.
But think generally, is it possible to have to team leads for a particular project, generally not,but it can be possible when a person is partially assigned to particular program. In this case they will give percentages.
Actually payroll will be calculated based on Assignment of Position also. And also when structuring organational structure , problem may occur, so it is advisable not assign one positon for more than one person in particular period of time

I am eloborating my question.
As we create positions (different) and assign jobs to them and assign those positions to Employees.
If I create one position and assign the job to that and assign the same position to diiferent employee numbers, as told by our friend that will be "Function" and we can group the related positions into that.
So, If I assign the same position to different employees, it will accept that is not a problem, But I want to know where it will create problems.
C we can say that best practise or we can assign the same position to different employees, but that is not advisable.so create different positions and assign it to different employees.
My question is can you please list it out where can I find problems if I go with same positions.
Regards,
Satya.
