SAP's compatibility with Windows Server 2003

Hello,

I had a question about SAP's compatibility with Windows Server 2003.

In Product Availability Matrix and also in all documentation(SAP with Windows), SAP says OS platform supported as "Windows Server 2003".

However, Windows Server 2003 can be :

1) Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition

2) Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition

3) Windows Server 2003 Datacenter Edition

So does SAP supports all these Windows Server 2003 Editions?

If yes, how to decide which one to use?

when running a productive sap system sap recommends using enterprise or datacenter edition...

it depends on the platform an the needed functionality (number of CPUs amount of physical memory, MSCS).

on X64 an IA64 without MSCS in most cases the Standard Edition is sufficient.

sap supports

English international version of one of the following:

Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition

Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition

Windows Server 2003 Datacenter Edition
