FM - Budget month wise control and if budget exceed the monthly limit it should give error message.

Hello Team,

We have one requirement where we want to control the budget month wise.

Suppose, My April month travel budget amount is 10000 and if it is exceed the limit for April, system should not allow to post the transction and throw error message.

we are using normal FM like -Fund Center and commitment item.

Is it possible in standard SAP or we need to go for any exit.

Please suggest if anyone come across the same requirement.

Hi,

Yes, it is possible. Your month should be represented by a FM object. For example, 'budget period'. You will define 12 'budget periods' and will budget accordingly. The derivation of 'budget period' will be based on FM posting date. This was you will have your monthly control. Search SCN; I definitely have answered to this request in the past, at least once.
