Hi all,
running a BW 7.5 on HANA, we have found some generated "/BIC/Z"-Tables in the related SAPBW-Schema. The name consists of "/BIC/Z<ADSO-Table name>", so we're NOT talking about InfoObjekts and stuff, but dealing with physical tables in the HANA-DB.
These tables can neither be found via the SAP BW-Transactions SE11 oder SE16 nor are they listed within the TADIR Table. So we assume that the're not created via any BW-Applicaton, althoug the /BIC/-Prefix indicates this.
The only trace we've found in the internet is NLS-related but we do not have any NLS-System connected.
Does anybody has the faintest idea where these tables (storing data, as we found out with a select count (*) ...) are coming from and how to get rid of them?
Any information is helpful.
Thanks in advance
Sven
Hi all,
external HANA Views are not the issue.
It turned out that these /BIC/Z<ADSO-Table name> are Zombies of aborted remodelling runs.
During remodelling, data is temporarily stored in these /BIC/Z-Tables and deleted when remodelling is finished.
If the remodelling run aborts, the semi-filled /BIC/Z-Tables remain on the Data-Base and allocate considerable space on the DB.
/BIC/Z<ADSO-Table name> can only be seen in your BW-Schema on DB, NOT! via BW-Application-Level (e.g. se11).
Problem solved, can't assing points to myself 😞
Cheers
Sven
