Current version of SAP BODS is 4.2 SP3 and want to take back up of BODS Repository.
Please suggest me steps to take BODS Repository backup.
Thanks in advance.
maheshb93 ,
Below are the steps if you are upgrading your repository version.
To summarize if you are migrating from DS 4.0 to 4.x
Step 1: Take backup of all jobs in an ATL file
Step 2: Migrate your 4.0 jobs to a newly created Local repository called DSLR_NEW_REPO using the ATL file(Import from ATL Backup file)
Step 3: Upgrade the repository DSLR_NEW_REPO using Data Services Repository Manager. Before upgrading the local repository check the version of the repository. it should be 14.0.xx.
Step 4: After the upgrade is completed check the version of upgraded repository. It should be 14.2.xxx
Step 5: Associate the newly local repository with the new 4.2 environment's job server in CMC
Step 6: Do a thorough regression testing of all the jobs in the new environment

Thank you Dirk.
I tried with the second option : exported whole Project into .atl file format and imported by other (BODS) user who had same version of BODS (4.2 SP9). And executed successfully.
But while importing to another environment (from 4.2 SP3 to 4.2 SP9) , is there any possibility for getting errors.
Also Please suggest me process for database backup.
Thanks in advance.
Now, you're talking about an upgrade. Upgrade using export/import may work, if you're lucky, but it is officially not supported.
