reg. mass data upload to database table

hi Friends,

After go-live, noticed that in production system, for an db table, data been missing for the fields of an Append structure and records are around 20Lakh, so now the action plan is to upload the missing data with the help of a custom program - anyways missing data there at Production copy system.

And here my query is, whether to use TEXT file or Excel in the program for uploading to support huge number of records and seems Excel not an good option to use as an excel file can hold max 65k records only - guys, pl suggest me on this to dealt with, if any faced the similar situation.

Hi

There are various options - File upload normally used CVS file. You can try DTIMPORT or MDMGX tool as well. Check out relevant load options on SCN.
