Dataload from HANA into YMKT HANA tables

Situation: 1 on-prem HANA systems; 1 on-prem HANA YMKT box

Step 1: We load legacy data into HANA

Step 2: We need to load that 'raw' legacy data into YMKT HANA tables.

What is the best method to load data into YMKT HANA box from another HANA Box?

Should we use SLT, Smart Data Integrator or OData etc. What are the best practices in this more unusual scenario?

Can we populate the YMKT HANA tables directly?

Hi Frank, not sure what you mean by "YMKT HANA tables". The native yMKTs Data model tables such as ie. CUAND_CE_IC_ROOT or CUAND_CE_IA_RT?

If yes, well - the standard SLT based integrations would mirror source DB (CRM/ ERP) table structures on target hana side (yMKT HANA) and and additional ABAP report would extract from there and fill CUAND_CE_IC_ROOT. Hence if you really want to load data into CUAND_CE_IC_ROOT etc. you should do this via standard interfaces (Odata). Thus data consistency is ensured.

You should never write directly into the native yMKT data model tables from external tools. You'll never get consistent data.
