price updation in Info Record

Hi ,

I have created a PO and marked UPDATE INFO record as YES.

As soon as the PO is created , info record for vendor - material combination gets created.(which is perfect)

But the net price values and other condition values are not updated in that info record.

But when I try to assign source to a PR , system shows me that info record as one source with price ( of the PO).

Here my query is , why the price and other condition values are not updated in info record and how those are visible at the time of source assignment.

IS SAP works like this only ?

Hello Sandeep,

Updation of price through Info record:

When you have purchase info record for an ordered material and vendor comination, the system will update the info record with the latest PO document into it. And next time when you create a PO for that material system will suggest the price from that info record (i.e. Instead of info record price, system will suggest the price from the PO attached in that info record as a warrning message only). And it is upto the user to decide to use the same price or not. But, system will not update the conditions in the info record directly.

Suggestion: System will update only the latest PO document to the purchase info record, but not directly updating the conditions from the latest PO into Info record conditions.

Price: Sum of the calculation of all the conditions in a sequence and this will be done by pricing /calculation schema. But, whereas the conditions (i.e. vendor conditions are time-dependent) will vary always at any time from the vendor, that is the reason system will never update the conditions directly with the existing conditions in purchase info records incase of latest /new PO's. Hence Info record only updates with the latest PO document.

as po contains time indepenmdent conditions

and in pir time dependent conditions are there therfore system will never update the conditions from po to info record

check that out !!!!!!!!

Hi,

It never updates unless you have to maintain the Quatation for this combination.

But when I try to assign source to a PR , system shows me that info record as one source with price ( of the PO).

Automatically System create this InfoRecord.
