problem in operation confirmation

Hi Friends,

I have one problem while doing the opeartion wise confirmation via co11n.plz find query below.

I have three operations like 10,20,30.But 20 and 30 are subopeartions for 10 that is main operation.My PIR requirement is 2000. when i run the mrp system create the pld order for 2000 qty.I convert pland order to production order.Next i will do operation wise confirmation via co11n.fist i confirmed 30 operation then 20 after that 10.but problem is system will not take the quantity for 20 and 30 operations.I don't understand the problem.plz explain with details .its urgent.suppose i will put the milestone confirmation for 30 .next i will confirm the operation for 30 whether system will confirm automatically for previous opeartions or not plz send reply as early as possible.

Hi gopal

There are two of confirming an order. One is order confirmation another is operation confirmation. If your are doing operation confirmation, you have to as per sequence from top to bottom. If you confirm last operation without confirming first and second. Then the system will not allow you to confirm the previous operations.

Hi,

Sub operation can be confirmed without yield qty.

Because for sub operation can not assign,

1. Component assignment

2. Inspection characteristics

3. PRT

How much qty confirmed in main opn applicable to sub opn.

For opn30 milestone confirmation will not work.

Assume the main opns are 10, 20. Both are having subopn 15, 25 respectively.

If you confirm opn 20 by milestone, system automatically confirm opn 10, 20 & sub opn 15.

Sub opn 20 will be confirm manually.

Suboperations r not relevant for scheduling , capacity planning and costing. How can u confirm suboperations.

Hi

The final quantities can only be confirmed after confirming all operations. If u cofirm op 20 & 30 the quantity cant be confirmed as the components are allocated to op10 only.
