delete in customisation

Hello All,

How do we delete an entry (like planner code and mrp controller) ?

is it correct to delete the entry in development system and transport this to production system??

Hi

It is the best practice to make any changes in configuration to do in DEV and transport to PRD after testing. but configs like MRP controller, Spl proc keys, Planner code etc can be directly created in PRD client via client open without transport.

But this procedure should be in existance in the standards agreed with the client

Dear Ranjith,

If you want to delete the unwanted/wrong entry ,you can delete and store it different transport request number,Then delete this request number .Make the new configuartion for the wrong one and store it a different request number and transport it to testing/prod client.This is applied if you are already transported the previous request number to testing/Production client, else store the new configuration in the previous number ( if it is not relesed ) or in the new number then transport it to testing/prod client.

In any project implementation or support, deleting some issue will taken as a very serious issue. Hence, never try to delete something. If it is need to delete, it advisable to use deletion flag instead of deleting it. After informing to your project head then u can delete.

Deletion flag cannot be put in customization , if it is customization than the exact sequence is as answerd by Y.M Reddy.

Fundamentally , if you need to delete certain customisation , you need to agreed with the Client with an ITR(Information Technology Request under configuration chnages,impact ,approval) .Generally , when u delete the configuration then u need to capture the transoport request with proper description , projecr reference, sub process refernce ,ITR no and save the number.Now if you are authorised to release the transport , then goto SE01 -Transport Organiser,check the content before u realse it for Quality server.Up date the same TR no in ITR transport tab if you are using any tool related to ITR system. for future reference purpose.

Any customization you can delete it if not reqd.

After deletion you csave the tranasaction then system will prmpt you for TR , create & save.

Then if transport this request to quality/production , it will be effected.
