IBM 64-Bit Java 1.4.2-12

Is there any IBM 64-Bit Java 1.4.2-12 available for 64-Bit LINUX on AMD64/EMT? If yes, where can I get that? If not, what is the alternative?

Thanks.

As far as I understood -- this is for Sun Solaris -- packages are not added with "pkgadd" in Red Hat Linux (or may be any variation of Linux). I am looking the package for 64-Bit Linux. Thanks.

    Hello Anjan,

    refer to sapnote #1008311

You can download the "IBMJava2-AMD64-142-SDK-1.4.2-9.0" for Linux on 64-bit AMD/Opteron from:

    https://www14.software.ibm.com/webapp/iwm/web/preLogin.do?lang=en_US&source=swg-ibmjavaisv

Please note that I am looing for IBM 64-Bit Java 1.4.2-12,

not 1.4.2-09 or 1.4.2-10. This version number is very important.

Is there any alternative if IBM doesn't have this specific version?

    Thanks.

Yes I got that -- thanks for explaining. Here is what I heard from my buddy. If the error is "The java class is not found: com.sap.engine.offline.OfflineToolStart" during "Install java engine" step -- what can be the cause? Assume that 64-Bit IBMJava2-AMD64-142-JRE-1.4.2-10.0, IBMJava2-AMD64-142-SDK-1.4.2-10.0 and IBMJava2-JAVACOMM-AMD64--1.4.2-10.0 have been installed.

      Thanks.

Please disregard all my questions pertaining to this issue because at this phase all either heard or read -- nothing that I encountered because I am not in that job function as of yet -- all theoretical. When I have practical situation, I will come back to you for help. Thanks.

    Hi all

We have solve our issue by creating those users manualy and give appropriate role described in the installation guide.

The problem was not about the JDK version 😉)

    Cheers

Hello: I have the same problem.

I have created the java users manually with the appropiate roles but when I retry the installation it still displays the same error. Could you help me?

    Felipe Sánchez
