FAX No issue in PO faxing

Hi friends,

I have the below issue in our existing setup and looking for some feasible soultion to overcome this.

We have 2 plants one in torornto and other in alberta. and we have a local vendor in toronto supplying goods to both the plants. we normally fax the PO to the vendor. we have added the fax no with the Area code in the vendor master.

The issue is when the toronto plant sends out fax to the toronto vendor, fax fails because area code is not required in this case. At the same time I cannot remove the area code from the vendor master details because the fax sent from the alberta plant will fail.

hence everytime our buyers from toronto plant must check the fax no and do the manual changes in the fax no ( remove the area code) before sending.

is there a way to overcome this issue? is there a setting so that the fax nos are explicitly asked before sending the fax message? or some user exits availble to put a check on this.
