SWL0_PREVIEW_EXIT* to OUTLOOK?

Hi there,

I wonder if one of you workflow guru's can help me.....I have a situation where once a purchase requisition's release strategy kicks in a workflow is triggered.....that is all working 100%.

Furthermore I am sending the workitem to OUTLOOK and the user is able to double click on the "Execute Workitem" attachement and get into SAP etc....once again all working fine....

Here is the tricky part: I notice if you double click on a task in the workflow builder there is a TAB there called "WI Display". So I created a function module EXIT that allows a developer to change the WI display when the workflow receiver gets the workflow.

I added HTML so tha the user gets a nice view of what the purchase req contains etc in a nice little table. Look at function module SWL0_PREVIEW_DEMO_HTML if you would like to see an example....

So the workflow gets into my inbox and the WI display looks PERFECT!

BUT now when it goes to OUTLOOK it doesn't show......mmmmm....

I would assume I would need to do something similar for the TASK DESCRIPTION.....but does anyone know how I could DYNAMICALLY create such an HTML table in the task description so that it displays well in the user's OUTLOOK inbox?

Any advise would be appreciated

You are not saying how the work item is "pushed" to Outlook. For the extended notifications you can create your own implementation classes. I haven't done that, but it should be one option you consider if your release has transaction SWNCONFIG.

Thanks for the advice, I may look into that it I don't get anywhere with it.....

BTW: I use report RSWUWFML2 to push the workitems to OUTLOOK....
