Hello gurus!
Can someone please help me feel secure that GTS can handle the new customs demands from the EU (Since May 2017) regarding inward processing/ Active refinement?
Hi Dave,
My customer operates in Sweden.
We are looking on the process for IPR (Inward process relief) where material is bought outside the union. Then at the Import declaration the operator need to specify if it will stay in the union (Pay custums) or will be sold outside the Union (Active refinement no customs paid).
GTS the need to keep track of wich and how much material there is on each import number still to be shipped outside the union.
Regards
Andreas

Hi Andreas,
The Union Customs Code was introduced in May 2016 (not 2017) and, yes, brings some changes for Inward Processing. But there is a transition period until the end of 2019, so each EU country will be introducing the changes at different times.
Which country are you concerned with, and which particular "demand" are you asking about?
Regards,
Dave
