how to use deadline monitoring

hi,

My requirement is to send a workitem to the first approver for his approval. I am using user decision for that. Now in case, if approver do not replly for 3 days i have to send the remainder mail to the approver.after 5 days in case of no responce, workflow will automatically terminated.

how can i do this thing.

please suggest full points will be awarded.

Hi

You can use the following tab as follows

1)Latest start:3 days from time of creation of workitem .The deadline should be modelled.Here you mention an outcome say mail sending. In the branch Mail sending you put a send mail to the approver of the message that workitems is pending in his inbox.

2) Latest end: 8 days from time of creation of workitem. The deadline should be modelled and the outcome name is Terminate. Now in Terminate branch you put a process control step that will Terminate Workflow.
