Dear Experts,
our support team asked me for help. They are getting a monitoring alert, that the process niserver is not running.
This is a server with ContentServer and MaxDB.
When I check ps -ef | grep niserver, there is no such process and the colleagues are claiming that it had been
running in the past. When I try to start it (either by x_server start or by calling it directly by ./niserver) it says
that it is already running:
NISERVER NI Init: Already running
Could you please elaborate on that ?
- Is the process named differently ?
- Should they remove the process niserver from their monitoring ?
We havent changed or upgraded nothing and were not touching the system for quite a while.
Linux upgrade is upcoming.
