ABAP to fix missing SIDs

Hi SDN,

We have a display only char with SIDs and some of the SIDs are missing with relation to an ODS. Remember this char has no master or text data, just a SID table.

Anyone has a code sample how to fix SID values between an ODS and a display only char? Or do you know of any other way. Report programs like RSDMD_CHECKPRG_ALL simply laugh in this case and say 'It does not make sense.'

Also, do write a program like this which tcode you use? SE80 or SE38, or any other?

Hi,

try transaction rsrv for the relevant objects.

It will check for errors and allow to repair them.

ok, if I am correct here, you have a characteristic that is also a field of a ods object. You loaded data to the ods object and populated the field also. Now you are missing the sid's in the sid table. Is this correct? If yes, the next question is, did you enable your ods for bex reporting? If no, there will be no sid creation. If yes, you might run rsrv for the ods and the related master data and it will surely correct that issue. But remember, a sid is created when master data is loaded or data will be posted to a data provider where you can report on --> cubes or ods objects enabled for reporting ..

So if your ods is not enabled for reporting, there will be no sid and that is correct.

The ODS is set ready for reporting. And let me reiterate, there is no master data related to this char. So RSRV does not work.

This is a question for someone who has seen a char which does not have master and text data but does have Sid table, and, some of the values for the char in the ODS are not in the Sid table. If you have seen that then sure, please help.
