Hi,

I think you are looking for a regular MRP run to be shceduled at regular intervals,

Then as suggested by others go to MDBT create your variants and then schedule the jobs.

Reward if the solution is OK with you.

Hi,

Make multiple variants of MDBT

1) for HEad office Materials, Assumning Head office is mapped as a Plant.

2) one each for all the plants.

Either Schedule them or run them whever you like as a back ground job.

running MRP for number of materials in foreground might give performance issue.

Reward if the soultion fits your requirement.

Hi,

MDBT is programme , which when executed runs the MRP for the selected materials.

we can create variants of this programm as save them as MRPA1, MRPA1--- A1 and A2 are my plants.

Furrther these variants can be either scheduled to run at any intervals of choice or at any time of our choice.

Hope I this is clear now.

Hi,

Use T-code - MDBT

Create Variant - enter Scope (say Plant)

Enter Appropriate MRP Control Parameters - suitable for your scenario

Go to Attributes Tab - Enter values eg. name etc

Then save. - Variant is created

go Main screen . ie. MDBT

Select the variant created.

Then using the Scheduling tab - you can schedule the MRP run in back ground ( either immediate / periodically )

Execute Total Planning in Background Mode - MDBT

Starting from the Material Requirements Planning node, choose Planning ® Total planning ® As background job.

The Total planning: Variants screen appears.

Choose Create variant.

The variant contains the control parameters for the total planning run.

Enter a name for the variant and choose Create.

The system displays the Variants: change screen assignment dialog box. The system recommends the BATCH structure for MRP run screen.

Choose Continue.

The recommendation is copied and this takes you to the initial screen for the total planning run.

Enter the control parameters that the system is to use during the total planning run (see Control Parameters for the Planning Run) and, if you work with scope of planning, select the Parallel processing field.

Choose Attributes.

The ABAP: Save Attributes of Variant XXX: screen appears.

Enter a description for the variant in the Description field and choose .

This takes you to the initial screen for the total planning run again.

Choose Variants ® Exit.

The Total planning: Variants screen appears again.

Position the cursor on the variant and choose Schedule job.

The Total Planning Scheduling: Start Time screen appears.

You define whether the variant created is to be scheduled just once or periodically.

Result

If you choose Schedule once, the planning run is carried out once on the date that you have specified and with the control parameters that you defined in the variant.

If you choose Schedule periodically, the total planning run is repeated at regular intervals.

If you run the total planning run in background mode, you can print out the protocol and the resulting statistics.

You need to create 2 different jobs one with 1 month and other witj 3 months schedule...

come back if you need furthur hep

Hi,

You can use T.code MDBT to run mrp in background.

Here you schedule the time for mrp run (for eg: daily at 12.00 AM). or you can enter the date & time of run

MD01 - to run the MRP on plant level

MD02 - to run MRP for a material multi level for a plant

details as below

There are three different planning run types:

During regenerative planning, all materials are planned for a plant. This makes sense when you are carrying out the planning run for the first time as well as later during production if data consistency cannot be guaranteed due to technical error.

The disadvantage of regenerative planning is the fact that the system has to deal with high capacity loads because all materials are planned, including materials, which may not be affected by the planning run.

To overcome this disadvantage, it makes sense during production to carry out the planning run using the net change planning procedure. The only materials that are included in the planning run are those, which have undergone a change relevant to MRP since the last planning run, for example, because of warehouse issues or sales orders, changes to the BOM and so on.

The net change planning procedure makes it possible for you to execute the planning run in short intervals, for example, in daily intervals. You can thus always work with the most up-to-date planning result.

You can use net change planning in the planning horizon to shorten the MRP planning run even further. The system then only plans materials that have undergone a change relevant to MRP within the planning horizon. In order to also plan changes outside of the planning horizon, you must execute the net change planning run in greater time intervals.

You define the planning horizon per plant or per MRP group in Customizing for MRP in the IMG activity Define planning horizon. The planning horizon should be at least long enough to cover the period when sales orders are received. It must also accommodate delivery periods and the total lead times of the materials.
