SCN counters of blogs will not be carried over?

Very unfortunate decision... for many bloggers it may have been part of the 'reward' for putting in the time to blog. For people on the outside (who do not know about the re-design) it may make a blogger look 'weak' if (s)he keeps writing blogs that get no interest from the audience (= judging by the number of views!)

View count is there for both old and blogs. It is just that the old view count wasn't migrated, so all old blogs start off with a view count of 0.

That said, view count is not a great indicator of quality. That's what the "like" button is for. Unfortunately people don't seem to use that as often as they should. That's a behaviour we need to change.

True, it's not a good indicator of quality, but still a view count above a certain threshold at least indicates that the author touched on a point of broader interest (or got a great title for her/his blog!) Yet, let's not argue about the fitness of the view counter to measure quality as I believe we share a common view. Still, I believe it would have been easy to copy that over in parallel to the comments. It's a bit of a missed opportunity in my book...

No, we didn't migrate the total number of view from the old platform.
