Change Storage Location in MRP4.........

Hi Experts,

I have created Material in Semi Finish but mistakenly I given Storage Location of Finish Goods in MRP4. How to change this Storage Location ?

i am not exactly clear of your problem, can you please clarify so we can help you better

you mentioned that you created a semifinished material, but by mistake gave FG finished goods material storage locaction

can you please clarify

also if you go to MM02 t-code and not in MRP-4, but in MRP-2 and Work scheduling view you can enter your Production storage location (is this what you were referring to as your problem)

similarly you an change it here

or else if you want to extend this material to another storage location you can also use

MMSC- T-Code

Thanks for reply.

My problem is that, when created material and user entered storage location of Finish Goods in Organisation Levels.

When we create Material the oraganisational Levels screen appears.

So, when i am going to MM02 it asks Storage Location of Finish Material in Organisational Level.

Hi,

Create a new material master by copying from the existing one and enter your

desired sloc in the new material master.

Hi Yusuf

well i am not confident of the exact answer you can try this option based on ur requirement

use T-Code = MM06 to place a "flag for deletion "on the material and that wrong storage location combination

This flag can then be removed later using the same t-code again if you need to start using it

now go to MM01 again and create the material and extend it wrt to the COrrect Storage location you want to enter and save it,

so only this combination will be active and user will get an error or warning message if he uses the other combination

Hi,

As I understand, the material has been created for wrong (i.e. finished goods, in your case) storage location, and you intend to use the storage location used for semifinished goods.

To rectify this-

1. Go to mm06, enter material, plant and storage location (finished) and flag the material for deletion for this storage location, so that this location will not be used in future transactions.

2. Go to mm01, select storage location view, enter the desired storage location and extend the material to this location. You can mention the same storage location in MRP2 as your production storage location (in mm02).

IN MATERIAL ORGANIZATION LEVEL SCREEN,

THERE YOU CAN ENTER THE WAREHOUSE THAT YOU WANT IN THE T.CODE BY MMO2

OR

CREATE MATERIAL BY COPY THE REFERENCE OF THE EXISTED ONE AND GIVE THE WAREHOUSE AT THE ORGANIZATION LEVEL SCREEN

Use MM02 T code and select MRP2 view,give the plant details and enter.

Production storage location can be changed in MRP2 view of the material master .

Check in MRP2 view,under Procurement details there's a field for Production storage location,

GO TO THE MM02 TRANSACTION CODE

THERE GIVE THE EDIT THE STORAGE LOCATION WHERE PREVIOUSLY YOU GAVE

ITS EDITABLE ONLY
