OCS file not found

Hi all,

when i am applying kernel upgradation from 6.40 to 7.00 through frontend i am getting below error.

"NO OCS FILE FOUND"

please help me out.

Hi Ruchit,

I have downloaded database dependent and independent files from service market place and i tryed uncaring these files from command prompt with using SAPCAR -xvf<Patch number>.no files extracted.

I tryed using front end.spam>loadpackage>frontend.

then i am getting "OCS FILE NOT FOUND"

please solve my problem.

Hi,

kernel upgrade is done OS level

kernel upgrade:

take the backup run directory located at usr\sap\<sid>\sys\exe\run

uncar the file, paste them in the run directory and the start the SAP system

Hello Rajender,

First of all SPAM is for support packages and not kernel!!. You are trying to do a kernel upgrade if I am right. For that you need to bring down both the database as well SAP system down.

uncar these files using command

goto command promt if windows

execute this command in the directory where this car file are located

<b>sapcar -xvf filename.sap</b>
