Hai can any one provide some informations and files regarding Netweaver XI.
Hi Santosh,
Learn about JAVA and JAVA is must for XI. We do mapping/use defined funstions in XI using JAVA and there is Java engine as well. Having knowledge of it will resolve many of ur concern while understanding the architecture. Also try to get knowledge about RFC,BAPI,Proxy. First understand that why XI, basics of XI and then start doing some scenarios related to XI.
For more you can check out the homepage of XI or can search on SDN:

Hi Santosh,
Yes, we also use ABAP in XI. We have two engines in XI: ABAP engine and JAVA engine. In mapping also we have ABAP mapping along with JAVA mapping. Few terms that I have mentioned in my earlier reply such as RFC,BAPI was from ABAP only. From the programming context in XI Java is more important than ABAP.
As per my knowledge Core JAVA will be enough for XI. However J2EE is also used in XI at some places such as J2EE Adapter Engine, J2EE JMS Adapter, J2EE server and many more but for programming purpose core JAVA will be sufficient from my view.
