1 :Can any one tell wat r mandatory Feilds while wrking with BDCs.

2 :And how to find them.........say for example i want to know mandatory feilds for VB11 how do i do it ?

3: what happens if neglect mandatory feilds and start recording.

Hi,

mandatory field are those, that in a trasaction are necessarie for it's execution. They are the minimum intput field's for a transaction sucess (all the fields that are obligatory in a transaction). This fields can (or not) depend of the system customization.

The simple way to find them, it's doing a "batch input Recording" for BDC purpose. With BIR you execute a transaction call (for example VB11) and fill all the mandatiry fields. You can run a BIR with transaction se35, and then choose "recording".

The transaction can not be sucessful terminated if all the mandatory are not fill.

when u goto a particular transaction u will find the mandatory fields....

when u start recording system will automatically ask to enter data is it encounters a mandatory field... if u dont enter a value it wont goto next screen or wont save the data and returns an error message.

Mandatory fields depends on which transaction you are working with...

Use SHDB to record the transaction...Mandatory fields should be record...

You can't execute a transaction without passing all mandatory fields....That's why they're mandatory -;)
