Portal Content

I'm looking at a fresh portal installation that I did not do, and when I go to the Content Administration --> Portal Content tab, there is no tree of folders for portal content under the Browser tab.

when i assigned super admin role , then i am able see the

Portal content tree.when i assign only content admin role then its not showing portal catlog tree.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what this might be? Possible a mistake during install. I do have the content admin role, so I don't think its a portal issue.

Hi Portal Portal,

In the initial phase, EP settings for PCD is that you have "Everyone" having "None" in the permission of the PC folder (in Content Administration/Portal Content).

As mentioned above, all you need to do is to set the permission in the folder "Portal Content" (in Content Administration/Portal Content/Portal Content).

Put yr mouse to the folder of yr detail navigation and right click. Select Open and the Permission. Then you chose what you want to admin. You can also add additional Groups into the permission to allow other Groups of users to read and/or write.

Hope that helps.

Hi ,

U need to check the Permission of the Portal Content Foldr under the content administration.

From ur statement, it is clear that only the super admin has permission to read and write.

login as super admin , and include the Content admin role in the permission and assign desired permission.

I think it is clear now.........

Ther is no problem with installion and anything.......

it is absolutely normal.

Cheers,

Sithi

Highly unlikely to be an error during the installation.

As per advice given above, login as super admin check the permissions of the PCD.

If they are set correctly, try giving 'everyone' read only access + end user, this way you should be able to at lest see the tree branches and browse the content.

If still no luck look at the portal log file so see if any errors are showing up when you navigate to that page.

Hello,

Login in Super Admin, go to user administration and assign the required Portal Role to your user id.

Sounds like someone needs to set up the Permissions and Security Zones on your portal.
