Deploy Files completed with errors

Hi,

We are on BO4.2 SP3 windows 2012R2 standalone system. Using Tomcat8 bundled with BO s/w installed on same server.

I tried to install SP4 and it completed with errors below

Errors/Warnings found during the installation are as follows

I do have the same issue by upgrading bi system from bi4.1 SP7.1 to BI4.2 SP4. Below the error message :

[InstallEntDfoWrapper.UploadDFO] UploadDFO Failed [D:\BI4\setup\packagestemp\BusinessObjects_ICC_InformationControlCenter_pin.xml]

ERROR: Deploy Files completed with errors.

Contact system administrator for other errors

In my case, everything wroks fine :CMC, LaunchPad and client Tools.

Is the upgrade failed by getting those warnings ? How to repair and upload those missing xmls dfo ?

Dear Chaitanya,

I do have exactly the same issue. I tried to upgrade to SP4 and the installation finished successfully, but with warnings (exactly the same which you got). Afterwards I was not at all able to logon to CMC or launchpad or even the default tomcat page....

Have you been able to solve this issue in the meantime?

Hi all,

I've encountered the same warnings after installing SP04 on a test VM Windows Server 2012 R2 - BI 4.2 SP3 patch 4.

But the installation looks fine, old and new BI Launchpad are reachable as well as CMC (provided the right ports have been opened in the WF).

Attached to this mail is an extract of my setupengine.log (deploy error for DFO BusinessObjects_ICC_InformationControlCenter_dfo.xml).

KB 2281619 states that DFO file should be redeployed but KB 2257305 states DFO errors can be ignored.

setupengine.log will provide details of those issues.
Basically install was not able to stop your SIA and then some dfo's were not uploaded.

You should use steps from KBA https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/notes/1757132 and do repair.
