Hi,
We have developed some GP Applications. To transport the GP Application to production system we have builded .sda file from the development portal and deployed it in SDM. But its throwing an error while deploying.
Production system details:
OS : AIX (ppc64) 5.3
EP : NW2004s SP 9
Oracle : 10.2
<b>We tried giving R/W permission to the .sda files after copying it in production. But still it throws the same error.</b>
The error we got while deploying in SDM is :

Dear Dipankar Saha :
Sorry to bother you again.
I had followed your instruction to try to get the updatest patch from the link
you mentioned. But it's fail. Actuall I could find the updatest patch of
(CAF EU 7.00 ) is SP11 not SP12.
Could you carify it again? Where could I get the SP12 patch?
BTW, How to install SP12 patch? is it JSPM (Java Support Proram Manager)?

Hi Andy,
As you have posted this problem to this thread, you might facing the deployment error with UNIX versions.
One way is to apply the patch.
Second way is to deploy the contents directly from NWDS.
1) Just unzip the .sca file which you are transporting.
2) There would be a .GPA file in that.
3) Unzip that .GPA file again and store all the contents in a local folder.
4) Create a new project of 'Development Component Type'. Choose 'Guided Procedures 2.0' in that.
5) Now copy all the contents of your local folder to 'src' folder of your NWDS project.
6) Build and deploy.
This is another alternative to deploy directly from NWDS if you are getting the error wid SDM on AIX/Unix.
This will surely solve your problem.

Piyush
Hi Dipankar,
I can't tell you the cause why you are facing this problem.
But I can suggest you a way that you can once again check the availability of plugins in your NWDS.
Contents of "gp_TopLevelDCs.zip" are
<b>1) sap.com caf eu gp api wd.dcref
2) sap.com caf eu gp api.dcref</b>
And
Location to Extract gp_TopLevelDcs.zip=>
<b>C:\Program Files\SAP\IDE\IDE70\eclipse\plugins\com.sap.tc.ap_2.0.0\comp\CAF\SCs\sap.com\CAF\_comp\TopLevelDCs</b>
Contents of "gp_api_nw04s.zip" are-->
<b>1) api(folder)</b>
Location to Extract gp_api_nw04s.zip=>
<b>C:\Program Files\SAP\IDE\IDE70\eclipse\plugins\com.sap.tc.ap_2.0.0\comp\CAF\DCs\sap.com\caf\eu\gp</b>
<b>I'm using NWDS 7.0.06</b>
Just check if this info can help you out.
Do make a reply if you stiil face the problem.

Piyush
Found a workaround till SAP comes with a patch.

Hi Nirmal,
This is a bug in SP10 I verified with SAP. But not sure whether this also exists in SP9. If this is the same bug I'm thinking (and it seems very much the same error) then as of now there's no solution or workaround for this. Initially SAP informed they will release the patch for this in SP12 in May 2007 but now they informed us that they may release the patch early in April.
Thanks,
Dipankar

Hi Dipankar Saha,
Thanks for the reply.
We have found a workaround by deploying the .sda file from NWDS itself.
Anyway this problem was only with AIX server. When we deployed in our development server which is running on Windows 2003 it worked perfectly from SDM itself.
Lets hope SAP comes out with a straight solution soon.

Nirmal
Hi Nirmal,
We also have the same situation. Our development landscape is on Windows and the Production is on AIX. Have you solved the problem by deploying the SDA file from NWDS to AIX box itself? If yes, please let me know from where you got the plugin for GP content in NWDS. I knew there's a way to deploy GP content from NWDS but couldn't find the plugin for it.
Thanks,
Dipankar
