Mass Extension of Material to Plant in MDG-M

Hi,

we are in MDG 9.0. How can we extend 1 material to n plants ? I cant find this feature in standard nwbc- mass update. Any standard SAP document will also be helpful.

Hello Rajeev,

The subject of your question mentions "MASS" extension, but in your question you mention that you want to extend juts ONE material to N plants.

Extending (an existing) 1 material to N plants is a simple Change Material Process.

Please you CR type MAT02 (Business Activity MAT2) and just add/copy the plants you want to extend the material too.

Also even at the time of creation of anew material using MAT01 you can extend the material to N plants within the same CR.

Thanks Kavita for your inputs. I understand that this can be done with change CR and adding plants. I used MASS because I need to extend 1 material to 300 plants. If I use this for even 100 material, then I will have to perform the activity 100*300 times. So, I am looking for way to extend 100 materials to lets say 300 plants, which is very not very easy and time consuming through change CR process.

Hi Kavita,

We have also the same requirement for extending the material into N no of plants for this there a BADI BADI called MDG_BS_MAT_API_ENRICH_BADI in which the method IF_MDG_BS_MAT_API_ENRICH~ENRICH having the changing parameter CS_DATA-MARC_TAB that we have to fill every thing is working fine. This BADI BADI MDG_BS_MAT_API_ENRICH_BADI is called during the creation MAT01 when we Activate the material but not in case of change request MAT02 can you please help on this issue.
