How to Approve request if master data is changes

Hi Professionals,

Management's requirement is if Hiring Action is executed through PA40 and IT0000 is updated, an approval request will be generated and master data will only be maintained if it is approved by HR manager. I mean master data or employee number should only be maintained only if hiring request is approved by authorities. In current scenario, as soon PA40 is executed, employee number is generated automatically. How to handle such kind of requirement?

As Shankar mentioned it should be Processes and Forms for this, not PCRs, PCRs are old and replaced with

If your using ESS/MSS then you can check the SAP PCR's (Forms and Processes) which will be based on approvals.

You could lock all infotypes created during hiring action so they can only be maintained if someone (the HR manager) unlocks them.

Hi

My Idea would be to maintain an entry in the SWEHR3 transaction related to HRP1000 entry with the needed Business object type and org object and relation. However, I am not so sure about what would be the business object in your case. Moreover in your case if i understood you correctly then until HR approves the request the employee number must not be generated. this should be possible by using HR event linkage mechanism.
