To fix the context member default format to ID

Hi,

I am using "Member Insertion filtering option" inside the edit report to filter the members while "Inserting member" in the reports using "Insert member option". Please find the explanation of our scenario:

We have two dimensions - Component and Project. Components falling under the project are mapped in the master data (Please refer to Table1). Project dimension is a selection in my input form, selecting using "EPMContextmember function".

I have defined the Member insertion filtering as in the attachment.

Now the issue is that - its perfectly working fine, if the context member display is defaulted to "ID" but not working if the context member display changing to "ID- Descritpion" or "Description".

Is there any solution to fix the context member display to "ID" in the entire workbook or is there any way to change the display to "ID" using API. Kindly help.

Yes, I have gone through your thread and I have tried the same in my system as well. But as you mentioned in the blog, user may be able to change the same from ID to Description or vice versa. As in my input schedule, its context selection and user is directly going there to change description for searching their project ids.

I just wanted know if there is any API to do this fix, while inserting member or permanently its fixed to "ID" in the context member selection.

You can only create VBA code that will correct the configuration file...
