Change of Maintenance package in Task List

Hi,

Is it required to restart a maintenance plan when we have changed the maintenance package of a task list assigned to that maintenance plan?

Through experience I have always gone to IP10 after changing a strategy based plan to check that the sequence is correct.

Hi Pete,

Thanks for your reply. My question relates to changing specifically of Maintenance Packages on task list only, not the change of maintenance strategies.

I have simulated to change the maintenance package from a task list, eg. 1000kms to 5000kms within the strategy, but when I try to use IP11U, nothing was selected for an update.

To answer your question Mateusz, yes. Had to re-execute IP10/IP30.to resolve it.

For 900 plans you might need an LSMW..

I've had a play with IP30H on a previous client, but you'd need to test it for yourself.

Can anyone help out in this case if for example you have 900 plans connected to a task list, how do you restart those plans?

Take help of ur ABAPer and try with BDC (Batch Data communication) to restart the required Maintenance Plans.

Your requirement is to change the start cycle date in Maintenance Plan or it is that you require to reschedule all the Maintenance plans.

Were you able to use IP11U when you change packages on task lists?

I don't believe so that will work. it only works when you change maintenance strategies for the maintenance plans.
