Hi Team,

we are using the netweaver application server java hosted on AWS servers which is not in cluster setup (CI & ASCS) running on HANA DB.

we want to know whether we can be able to convert a non-clustered Java instances to a clustered environment.

Please help on this regard. Let us know if any more info is required.

Hi,

A minimum AS Java cluster installation consists of a central services instance, one Java instance with one server process, and a database. So most likely you have this configuration.

You can configure a software cluster version of several SAP NetWeaver Java instances to reduce downtime by installing additional application server (AAS) instances.
One way would be to add additional Application servers and then use a load balancer like Web Dispatcher to distribute incoming requests.
