Hi Biao,

If you have a test environment where you could restore a full instance backup, remove this schema in the test environment and check if the logs will continue growing. Also check SAP Note 1873559 on B1iF_Using the DB Purge Tool for Database Size Reduction.

If B1i is not in use, the SEVT table should be empty. Check the following in SBO-COMMON:

  • Check if the following is the current valid setting: SCFG.B1iEnabled = N;
  • In all company schemas check if the following is the current valid setting: CINF.ESEnabled =N

If the settings are different, and you do not use B1i, I suggest that you contact support - ensure that you provide the above values in the incident.

As for the SLSC table, B1iF does not use it. The SLSC table in SBO-COMMON contains SQL data sources for CR templates and the system uses the table when creating a new company of a localization on the server. Its content is the same in the same version, while different for SQL vs. HANA. Check if restoring the system reports and layouts by using the Restore Functionality from Help → Support Desk → Restore → Restore System Reports changes the size of the table significantly. In the production environment, only run it with the approval of Support.

I hope you find this information useful.

dear expert,

we didn't run any scenarios of b1i. I run the sqlserver report and find table SLSC was the top about 2Gb. The table sevt was about 800m.

please give me some advice. whether it was related with addon or some other reasons. Our enviroment was b1 cloud.

Hi Biao,

The main "culprit" is SEVT table of SBO-COMMON and the use of B1i/electronics. We already have a post on it here: Explaining Table SEVT in SBO-COMMON

Check if the Event Sender is processing any events at all or not as per the following steps:

- Restart Event Sender service.
- Open B1i, go to Monitoring → B1 Event Monitor.
- Check for recent entries.
- You can also check the oldest SEVT entry, wait for a minute, and check if this entry is no longer there.

In case no SEVT entries are being processed, please check SAP Note 1882000.

If SEVT entries are being processed, but the system is generating too many entries, check Section A.3 of SAP Note 2192737.

If B1i does not run any scenarios triggered by Events from SAP Business One, then you can safely truncate the SEVT table. You may ask Support in such a case for assistance. In addition to this you should also update the Event Sender Setup and deselect all company databases or add a filter before starting the Event Sender service again. This way, the customer should not encounter the same issue.
