Hello all,
We are currently auditing our SQL Server (dedicated server) and it appears that the table SEVT in the database SBO-COMMON is highly accessed for read and insert.
Now this table contains more than 3.000.000 records.
It seems to be related to B1i but we have de-activated the functionality on our system.
-Can somebody explain why this table is so often accessed and in which context.
-Can this table be truncated on a regular basis to enhance the performance.
Thank you very much for your answers.
Fabrice.
Dear Fabrice:
The table "SEVT" contains the log of all steps or changes made within the SAP Business One, that is, each time you update a record either a document definitions, master data or user tables in this table creates a log of that change, but just who did it, when he did as object code or registration was made.
I hope you serve the detail.
regards,
Oscar

Hello Fabrice,
Best of my knows this table is belongs to the SAP B1 EventSender Service. (B1i) Check, that you have stopped each services belongs to the B1i and you can perform uninstall of B1i if you not using.
Check the Service Manager for status of the Service.
You can configure B1 Eventsender service to use SBO-COMMON or other databases, and you can also customize the schedule (time frame).
Basically sap not allows any db operation outside DI API, but you can if you detach SBO-Common, and apply last patch you have installed, this will re-create SBO-COMMON ( apply addons you are using is necessary). This can work, if you do not upgraded your system from 2004/2005.

J.

Hello,
Thanks for your answer, but the service have been disabled for a while, and, yesterday, i have uninstalled the B1i components, but the table SEVT is still growing.
Even after uninstalling the component, the program SAPB1iEventSender.exe is still available in the system in the directory
C:\Program Files\SAP\SAP Business One Server\B1iServer\tomcat\webapps\B1iXcellerator\EventSender\
But it does not appear in the Task Manager.
As we are in a production system, we cannot detach SBO-COMMON to recreate it.
I really wonder if and how i can get rid of this ...

Hi,
Just in case you didn't solve it yet and also for other partners to know.
SEVT table is filled by B1iSN Event Sender service.
Please check note number 1411696 for more information.
The following message in SDN is also talking about it:
