Material Description table in CAR

Good Evening,

It seems as an easy question. I wonder if there is a table in CAR where it stores the material description. I searched a lot but I did not find a link between material number and description. I found a table /DMF/PRODT but it is linked to product ID.

You are most likely looking for /DMF/PROD_EXT_XR which links CAR product-guid with external system product-id:

• /DMF/PROD is the product-guid table with reference to the UPC/EAN of the product with base unit of measure
• /DMF/PRODT gives you the product text for product-guids
• /DMF/PROD_EXT_XR links product-guid of CAR with product-id of external system (e.g. ECC or S/4)
• /DMF/PROD_UOM gives you all defined unit of measures for a product-guid and the corresponding UPC/EAN

The above tables are part of the Demand Data Foundation for CARAB (DDF) and should be the ones you are looking for. If not, you need to be more specific for what kind of 'material' you are needing to find the description. Can you give Transaction codes, tables, data elements, screenshots?

Thank you. This table what I am looking for "/DMF/PROD_EXT_XR" to get Product ID, then use it in table "/DMF/PRODT" to get the description.
