Hi,
I have requirement that to run ABC/XYZ segmentation and to combine the result into like (AX, BZ, CY) into attribute in the master data.
Please suggest how to proceed.
Hi Sagar,
You can explore below method :
1. Generate ABC and XYZ segmentation in 2 different attributes (as usual).
2. Create a calculated key figure (say KF1) and maintain calculation as below :
If ABC Code = A, XYZ Code = X, KF1 = 1000 ; If ABC Code = A, XYZ Code = Y, KF1 = 900 and so on. You may want to restrict these values to past 1 week or past 1 month.
3. Create attribute to store combined result in relevant MDT.
4. Create another ABC profile and select above calculated KF as Segmentation Measure and segmentation measure as "Segmentation Measure (Single Value)". In the ABC segments, mention segments as AX with threshold 1000, add another segment AY with threshold 900 and so on.
Depending on how the value in segmentation measure is restricted, choose Time Scope and Calculation horizon in segmentation profile, Once you execute this profile, you will get combined result.
Hope this helps!!

Piyush

Hi Revan,
The reference KF here is a calculated KF and it will show data only for those objects which already exists in the system. (same level as that of segmentation measure used for ABC and XYZ) So we are not creating any new planning objects.

Hello,
Looks like is going to be manual activity as there are no operators to copy the master data.
I think below steps may help you.
1. Create new attribute for ABC-XYZ combination on the same level as ABC code and XYZ code.
2. Download the results of segmentation to excel and get your desired results
3. Load back the data to the system using integration job
or
If you have connected BI systems, first load the data from IBP to BI system. In BI system, concatenate using the transformation. Then transfer back the results to IBP.
Thanks alot!!!
