Hi Experts,
I’m working on a scenario where I need to access files form FTP
server but whenever I try to pick a file I get the following error.
Error: FTP connectivity test: FTP connection to host XXXXXX and to port XXX
cannot be created.
I’m creating my scenario in PI server and according to this message there is
connectivity to FTP server.
But when I telnet for the FTP IP and port is says connectivity is there.
Please help to resolve this issue. I’m in a critical stage and this has to be
fixed by EOD.
Any quick help would be appreciated.
Regards,
Thouheed.
Hi Mohammad,
There can have multiple reasons. Your checklist should contain below -
1) Port is open from PI to the FTP server.
2) You can PI the FTP server from PI server.
3) The user you are using to connect have all required accesses/authorizations to access the intended directory.
4) Firewall is not blocking the access.
5) FTP vendor has whitelisted your PI server IP (Generally not required for FTP connection through port 21).
6) FTP server details provided in CC (server url, port, credential is correct).
Thanks,
Apu

Please check with the Server Team. We had the same issue and ultimately it was found that the User was locked and Server Team had re-set the User Credentials.

Hi Mohammad,
Have you tried to use the host IP instead the host name?
