Hello All,

while the loads are in progress one process got stuck in the Released State from the past one hour in SM37.

Could anyone please give me some inputs how to restart that particular job.

Thanks & Regards,

Are you using process chains?

If the job is stuck in released state and is not coming to active state, you have to kill or cancel the job.

Use the STOP button to cancel the job.

Then reschedule that job.

Before this..check what impact will canceling the job have..

Hello

yes we are using the process chains...

but according to my understanding we can not cancel the job unless it is in active state.

kindly let me know the other way....may be i had missed something....

I believe a job that is in released state can be cancelled.

If it cannot be cancelled it can be deleted.

Try it..as anyway its stuck since long time..

You will want to cancel it now or later..

Hi,

will it impacts anything on chain if we delete job.

there are two delete option in SM37. which one we need to do.

1) SM37 --> Job --> Delete

2) SM37 --? Delete from Database (Tab option)

kindly let me know..

Hi,

You could capture 'Released' job to 'Scheduled'.

Proceed as below:

goto SM37, get the list of jobs which shows the released job.

Keep the cursor on the released (just keep), then use menu Job --> Released to Scheduled (short cut Shift+F6).

This will make your released job to scheduled. After that you could whatever you want.

If it is a process chain, the job name will be RS_PROCESS_TRIGGER.

If so,then do the following.

Goto SM37-> click the job name and goto Step.

It will give u program name and parameter.

Now goto se38-> give program click variant and click display -> now give variant name(nothing but teh paramenter.)-> now u will get the process chain name .

NOw goto RSPC and to ur process chain.Select maintain variant of SELECT.See when it has scheduled to run.

Based on that the job will run.If u want to run immediately make the selections as immediate.

Hopw this helps.
