Question says it all really, from release notes this is not mentioned, so I would assume at this present time it is not supported, bu can anyone from Hybris comment as to whether this is on any roadmap etc?
As per the answer above it's not officially supported. There is something on the roadmap to improve cloud deployments to "better prepare the platform to be deployed on IaaS and others providers like SAP HEC, Amazon AWS, Microsoft Windows Azure, etc". This is set for 2016 and beyond, so there's currently no timeline on when it will be and whether this will include Aurora.

Amazon Aurora is designed to be compatible with MySQL 5.6, so that existing MySQL applications can run without requiring modification. There are no separate drivers for Aurora as well, MySql drivers will just work fine. I initialized Hybris 6.0 on Amazon Aurora and it just worked fine.

HI David,
As per wiki (https://wiki.hybris.com/display/release5/Third-Party+Databases), Hybris doesn't support AWS Aurora. But, below link has some information about AWS which may help you. https://wiki.hybris.com/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=265524723
Thanks Nithish
