Recent files not showing up under 'File' menu

In reference to this past post: https://answers.sap.com/questions/339762/can-you-display-more-than-5-recent-reports-on-the.html. Was this ever fixed?

We installed version 14.2.5.2618 2016 SP5 and recent files are not showing up under the File menu. It looks like it was fixed in Crystal Reports 2016 SP4 according to https://help.sap.com/doc/e2926df3fa004abca3f9784abbca60a9/4.2.6/en-US/Fixed_Issues_4.2_SP6_en.pdf.

the problem fixed in CR 2016 SP4 Patch 6, CR 2016 SP5 Patch 1 and CR 2016 SP6

If I am running CR 2016 SP5 can I just download the most recent update, 'SAP Crystal Reports 2016 SP06 Update' from https://origin.softwaredownloads.sap.com/public/site/index.html and install and use without issue, or can I only update SP5 with a patch?

Crystal Reports designer should match the version of Crystal server or BI Server if you are connecting to Servers. In this case apply just patch 1 on your SP5 level. If you just using standalone CR Designer then you can go to SP6
