How do you enter wildcards in the Lumira variables prompt screen?
I am using Lumira 1.30 connecting to SAP BW.
Hi Jay,
In addition to what Tammy said, I would use wildcard filtering (%) by using the option 'Like' as follows:
Wildcards can be used as a substitute for one or many characters in astring. Use the _character as a replacement for a single character and the % character as a replacement for multiple characters.
Please let me know if there are any questions or comments.
Thank you,
Varun Anand

Yes, understood but if I wanted to include all the orgs in a hierarchy in my data pull into Lumira, I would have to highlight every single org key or cost center or entity. It seems that you're indicating Lumira only offers search rather than true wildcarding, which is not always the solution I'm looking for. If I use this approach, is there a max number of variable values I can specify? What if I wanted 10K values? Will Lumira support that?
Pradeep - thank you, that looks to be similar functionality I was using

If your variables are hierarchies, please see this ASUG presentation from last week:

Lumira has some limitations with hierarchies and BW variables
I do not believe the object I am attempting to include is part of a hierarchy. As far as I know it is a regular free characteristic that we are using as a required variable in the prompt screen. In BEx Web I just specify an asterisk because I typically don't care about this field and want all the data (I tend to filter/aggregate on other things). However, this field is important for other users, who often do specify exact orgs.
I just want to be able to wildcard in Lumira variable screens. I can't decypher the PPT to determine if this is or is not possible.
