There are a number of ways you can manage tools in SAP PM/CS. Here are some suggestions:

    • PRTs in work order and/or task list operations
    • Serial numbers
    • SAP's Equipment & Tools Management functionality
    • Simple equipment user-status control

There are probably some other options (other members please contribute)..

Do you know which of the above you are intending on using?

      Hi Sahu,

The simplest way is try this options:

      1. Define the Tools as Non Valuated Material
      2. Define Area of Maintenance as Storage Location
      3. Use Movement Type 311 for Transfer Stock from store to Maintenance Area (defined as SLoc) when they use the tools
      4. User Movement Type 312 for Reverse Transfer Stock from Maintenance Area (defined as SLoc) when they return the Tools

Hopefully, this option can help you

      Thanks

      Adi P.
