SAP FIORI TimeSheet Collective Approval

Hi Friends,

usually in SAP Portal or in the backend there is an option for Multi approval or collective approval in the portal for ESS timesheets. 

Looks like in the FIORI timesheet approval app, manager cannot approve multiple employees approvals in one shot. The manger has to select each employee and approve. is there any option for manager to select multiple employees at a time and approve?

Hi Krish;

It is not available in standard by default.

Mass approval feature available in version 2 of this application is also for approving multiple timesheets of an employee only.

I think it can be achieved by My Fiori Inbox application. More details here..

Hi Sarbjeet,

I have checked in version2 , I cannot even approve multiple timesheets for selected employee.

For example, I have selected an employee, then I tried select the time sheets for approval for the week of Sep 14- 20,  Sep 21 - 27. I can select at a time only one timesheet but not for both.

Do we need to upgrade any support pack to allow multiple timesheets approval for selected employee?

I will check the MyInbox app and let you for Mass timesheets approval for selected employees.

Hi,

I have found the below RFC to support the collective approval.

HRMSS_CAT_WD_APPROVA L , the same RFC is used by WebDynpro Java application for Collective time approval, It replaces or enhances the workflow-based approval of working times.

This approval process doesn't rely on any workflow.

My plan is to modify the current screen which allows to select multiple employees , I will pass the relevant data to underlying RFC.

My question, can I still use this RFC, HRMSS_CAT_WD_APPROVA L , If I can, do I need to convert this as ODATA service? is there any similar ODATA service available to support this functionality?

Hi Friends,

any thoughts or advice on this question.

I have enabled FIROI Inbox app but still this functionality not supported it seems.

What all I need is the manager should be able to approve multiple timesheets with one button click. It is nice if I have this functionality in Timesheet approval app. I checked in both versions version 1 &2 .

can I achieve this functionality with modifying the custom BADI , if I can what is the BADI or underlying I should do enhancements. Again this is the least possible option.

I am preferably looking if there is any config setting to allow this functionality.

Hi Krishna,

Help says "multiple time entries" in "single person". It is NOT "multiple users".

based on the statement from SAP Help , have a question:

"Option to select the single or multiple time entries for approval or rejection" , based on this statement my question is that for a week or multiple weeks for a selected employee?

Right now I can select single or multiple timesentries  only for a given week not allowing me to select multiple weeks.

is that expected or am I missing any thing here?

Also , what is the best practice or sap recommendation in customizing the FIORI app to meet this requirement. Thanks again for your help on this.

Fiori apps have extensibility. You can extend an app based on your business requirements.
