Failed to retrieve data

I am running Ver 14.0.0.780 of cr  and I am connecting for some of my reports through the XML Web services.  There are about 12 connections with the xml web services and I cannot connect to 3 of those but the rest were ok.  Now as of yesterday I cannot connect to any of the 12 urls through cr.

I recevied theses 2 errors:

"Failed to retrieve data from the database"  and "Cannot determine the queries necessary top get data for this reports  Details: Unexpected error"

I have updated Java to the latest version.  I ask about updates but I am updated.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks Kathy

Hi Kathy

Version 14.0.0.780 actually shows that you are not up to date with CR Service Packs. CR 2011 is no on SP 11, so your version should be 14.0.11.x

Service Packs can be downloaded from the downloads portal:

Downloads for SAP Crystal Reports and others

Please see if updating to SP 11 resolved th issue.

Hi,

I finally go the download for the SP 2011.  Downloaded the file and now i have a error trying to connect to the web services

Verify that in CRConfig.xml the JDK version is 1.5.   It downloaded jdk 1.6.  But I cant find the JDK 1.5 says it is no longer available.

This is really frustrating.  Can you help again?

Thanks,

I suppose we're now down to what is the difference between those three connections and those that work? The error message notwithstanding. Datetime, date, time field types have been know to cause issues - as a test see if setting these as a string will eliminate the error.
