Suggest off-hand if EPM10’s Offline Mode is backwards-compatible with old BPC 7.5 reports.

Hi,

User has a workbook and said that he was having problems using the Offline Mode feature. I think it has something to do with the fact that his workbook primarily contains old BPC 7.5 reports.

While not logged into EPM, report was returning all sorts of errors in cells where EPM formulas existed (because they appear to have not been converted in the Offline Mode process).

Suggest me the way, how can he see the BPC 7.5 reports in offline mode when he has EPM 10.0 installed on his system.

Note: I tried with disabling the EPM addins, But does't work.

Not clear!

We are talking about BPC 7.5 reports connected to BPC 10 system? Or reports are connected to 7.5?

Hi Vadim,

Thanks for the quick reply.

No, we are not logged in to any BPC 10 or 7.5 system. User is getting workbook(reports are built using BPC 7.5 formulas) from mail. Now, user wants to open it and go through the reports. When he opens it #NAME?, ERROR IN CONNECTION errors appear where ever EPM Formulas were used.

User has EPM 10.0 installed  and he has no login authority.

But how the data is initially refreshed in the reports? Using 10 or 7.5 system? How the offline mode was enabled?

Please explain ALL process steps in detail!
