Depreciation from legacy system to SAP for Asset Item

Hello Experts

I am running SAP B 1 9.0 PL 08

• The Acquisition made in the month of January 2011
• I have uploaded FA in system, but for Manual depreciation system is prompting message as "Fiscal Year not enabled for Fixed Asset".
• I want to post the depreciation and accumulated depreciation in system till Feb 2015 for a specific Asset.
• Suggestions are required from experts.
•

Hi,

In order to run depreciation you need to change fiscal year first.

shall i have to create new Financial Year for 2010 and do the Fiscal Year transfer to 2011 ?

Hi,

Exactly. If you have import fixed asset on 2010  then you must have that period and do fiscal year change. You will able to run depreciation.
