Request Selection in Fiori Approve Leave Request App

Hello,

  We have implemented the Fiori Approve Leave Request app to supplement the MSS approve leave request functionality. However, I am noticing that the list of leave requests to approve in the Fiori app does not always match the leave requests to approve in the managers UWL. Where in the Fiori app does this selection occur? Why would there be a different set of leave requests to approve in Fiori vs MSS?

The two screen shots are from the same user in the same system. As you can see, the list of leave requests do not match.

It seems Fiori might be attempting to determine the pending leave requests using some other employee selection logic rather than simply reading the workflow inbox.

Hi Andy,

Please find the approver for the 5 items which are not in inbox. I guess there is no approver is assigned.

The app reads information from HR tables and not from inbox.

Hi Andy,

I think the user is different or the system is different because the 1st screen has workitems in 2015 and 2nd screen has workitems in 2014 and requested user names are different. Please double check.

They are the same user. Its in our test system, so the data might look a little unusual, but it is an accurate illustration of the problem. The leave requests in Fiori do not match the leave requests in the workflow inbox.

What is the issue for Fiori Approve Leave Request?

A. Approve Leave Requests app does not show full list of documents which should be approved. Some documents are missing.

B. Approve Leave Requests app have unnecessarily documents which should not be listed.

  It could be both I suppose. I am more interested right now in issue B. There are leave requests in the approve list that do not belong to the manager.

Hi Andy,

By any chance do you have a user hard coded in the RFC connection from the gateway system to the ECC system.

This looks like the data is completely different in MSS and Fiori.

If the user is hard coded in RFC connection it would fetch the data for the hard coded even if you login from some other user.

If that is not the case could you try to run the class cl_pt_req_team and see which employees the class returns for the Manager PERNR that you are using for the Fiori.
