Send PA- Interview Call letter to Applicant EmailId using Workflow

Hello Experts,

I have a requirement to send an interview call letter to the Applicant (PA-Personnel Management) using Workflow when HR admin will trigger the Action "Invite Application" through PB40 Tcode.

For business purpose we have a separate Smartforms of Interview Call letter with client specific format. Now they want to send an email with the content same as smartforms to the Applicant external id once 'Invite Application' action trigger.

Smartform fields has been populatedfrom some standard infotypes(0002,0006,4002,t528t ) and a custom Infotype.

Please give your valuable inputs to deal with such development.

N.B - No Smartforms(converted into PDF) attachment is required. A normal mail need to be sent with content same as the Smartforms.

if your requirement is only to send a mail, no specific need to use a workflow, you can send mails using class cl_bcs/cl_document_bcs. if you need a way to trigger the sending of the mail you can use a workflow event, check to see if there is a standard one using the event trace (transaction SWEL), if not you can try to create one using transaction SWEHR3.
