Blank User Prompts in Document Summary

Hi Folks,

I just would like to ask i anyone here has experienced the Document Summary Section's Parameters/Prompts

being blank?  Is there a configuration in Launchpad or CMC that needs to be set?

We are using SAP BO 4.1 SP2 and the report is using BEx as datasource.

Hello,

Please check, if the issue is related to one particular report? one particular user?

It seems you are using HTML viewer, is it the same with java viewer?

What Browser version? have you tested with a different browser?

What is the java version? is the issue reproduced with webi rich client ?

Hi Mark,

Are you using BICS/Unv ?

Try by saving selected prompt values .Check Keep last selected value if prompt applied in webi.

Place Persistent in@prompt if universe.If BICS, in set variables section assign some default value.

Then if you able to see the prompt values in document summary.Save the report.

Now clear selected LOV and try.

Which Viewer you are using .RIA/HTML .Try with RIA/Rich client.

Hi,

Do you have optional prompts ?, and you might have run report without selecting any values.

Select Prompt Summary from the menu and place on report layout, you should see the values once prompts values are being selected.

Hi Jothi,

We have both mandatory and optional prompts.  I did selected values prior to running the report, but the Document Summary section, still shows blank values.  But when I go to the User Prompts Section, it reflects the values I chose during refresh.

So you don't see values under "User Input Prompts" under document summary?.

Can you post a screen shot please?.

Here's a screenshot.. I've listed the 4 areas/window

1. prompt window

2. user prompt section

3. document summary section

4. document summary print display

As you can see, both in 1 and 2, the values are entered,, but in 3 and 4, it displayed blank

Hi,

Can you the check if the same behavior in WRC too?. Usually it should display the prompt values. Please also check the viewer.
