how to use relationship category for business partner in cloud for customer

Hi all ,

I have created an relation type category.please refer below screen shot. Path : Fine Tuning-> General Business Partner -> Maintain relationship

I need to use this BP Relationship category to assign multiple account with a single business partner. So I checked in account team to add them, but in account team you have to select party role!

So i thought i would create party role with relationship category but if you plan to use this then this will not be available in account team as we can EITHER have a relationship category or responsibility role.  Path : Fine Tuning-> Party Role defination

....

So As per my understanding Accont Team is the only place where we can assign multiple accounts to the account in which we want the RELATIONSHIP...

or is there any other thing needs to be done for relationship category , like in On promise crm plz help....

Hi,

not sure if i got your question correctly ...

In C4C the "account team" information is not stored as relationship (difference to on premise).

In the "account team" we store the "internal links" (beetween accounts and employees) and in the "relationships" we store the external links (i.e. has contact person, has ship-to, ...).

The new relationships categories added in the relationship finetuning are only relevant for the external links/relationships.

If you want to add a new party role for the "account team" you have to flag the party role as "responsibility role", see attached screenshot.

Hope this answers your question ...

Regards,

Markus

Hi Markus,

Thanks for such a Quick reply.

Yes, We do know that the tick of responsibility role should be ticked if we want to assing internal link between account and employee. ( Although thanks a lot for the confirmation on the same)

if this is the case then How do I maintain External links for my account ( in my case it is a custom relation ship category : "is owner of" ).

Thanks again for the pointer,

Regards,

Dhruvin

Hi Dhruvin,

external relationships (i.e. custom relation ship category : "is owner of") you can maintain on the relationship tab of the account UI.

One thing to add markus, that if I check in standard account's TI , the relationship tab is visible ( IN UI DESIGNER ) but some how it is not visible in WebUI.

I am trying to chek the properties or something due to which it is not visible.

Dhruvin

Hi Markus,

It was a very small issue , it was hidden in personalization!

it's visible as well as my custom relationship are also available!

Dhruvin
